Preparing a Place for Him
PREPARE 2023 is a gathering to refocus our affection on Jesus and reignite our passion for Him. The Lord says in Isaiah 66:1, “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?” He desires above all to dwell in the hearts of His people, but often we’re too busy and distracted to make room for His presence. PREPARE is about coming back to our first love, and getting in a position for God not only to touch us, but abide with us.
God has prepared great works for His people to do in these last days, but it all must flow out of our love for Him. Jesus is our one pursuit. We are people of His presence. On July 20-22, come gather with us as we worship, listen, and make room for the moving of His Spirit.
Jesus is in heaven preparing a place for us. It’s time for us to prepare a place for Him.
Prepare 2023
Prepare Conference began in 2014 as an annual worship conference to Encourage, Equip and Empower local Worship, Leadership, and Outreach teams. The goal was to lead these teams beyond just a ‘conference experience' into walking in their unique identity and shared purpose - to take the message of the Kingdom to the nations. Harvest Church Worship Pastor Treva Tankard shared this vision with others in leadership and launched a worship conference that majored in three areas: Worship, Leadership, and Missions.
Our heart has always been for smaller-to-medium-sized churches who found it hard to send their teams to mega conferences where travel further increased the cost. Instead, we brought well-known, international speakers and worship leaders to pour into our region. Speakers and artists such as Bob Sorge, Joseph Garlington, Rick Pino, Cory Asbury, and Rita Springer, along with other leaders and music professionals, deposited a treasure among our participants.
The feedback from our Conferences has been amazing. Many have commented on the intimate times of worship, and how they came away feeling truly connected, equipped with tools that really made a difference. From the beginning, we have offered a variety of Breakouts, each one specific in its training and activation. The Song Cafe has always been a special treat, allowing a great opportunity for Songwriters to present their original songs.
In 2019, we moved to a bi-annual Conference. Many worship and leadership conferences were then canceled in 2020 due to Covid. Now we are looking forward to meeting again with a new purpose and direction, with the hope of bringing clarity, perspective, and encouragement in this time of challenge and transition.
Our 2021 conference was focused on “Preparing the Body of Christ for Changing Times”. It focused on those involved in church ministry, outreach, and missions. We understood, through the scriptures, that Christ’s Great Commission has not changed. Methods may have to be modified, but the mission of the Church goes on.
We still believe that God wants to speak fresh direction and purpose into each of our ministries during this hour. We can also see that God has prepared great works for His people to do in these last days, but it all must flow out of our love for Him. Jesus is our one pursuit. We are people of His presence. On July 20-22, come gather with us as we worship, listen, and make room for the moving of His Spirit.
